Process
- I will be using my longest telephoto lenses, which will allow me to remain at least 15-25+ ft away, and there will be no contact or touching whatsoever
- you may be on your porch, steps, balcony, window, doorway, front yard, or wherever you need to be so that we can maintain our physical distance
- if you are in an apartment or condo, you can be outside your complex, if none of the above locations are easily accessible
- if you are a business owner/employee, part of the police/fire department, church member, or student in town, you are also welcome to participate in front of your organization’s location
- the group photo should only consist of your immediate family who are currently sheltered in place together – outside friends and family should not be included
- pets are your family members too, and are very welcome
- if you live alone, you are not excluded – please participate
Preparation
- be creative: make something with your masks, toilet paper rolls, hand sanitizers, Lysol wipes, etc; or do something completely unrelated to the virus; use your imagination
- be yourselves: this isn’t a formal glamour shoot (although you do have the option to make it one)
- be natural: don’t worry about your long messy hair, overdue mani/pedi, or changing out of your PJs/sweats and slippers
- be expressive: create a sign to hold and send everyone a message – birthday/anniversary wish, your feelings about being away from friends and family, congratulate a recent grad, or something inspirational or clever, but please keep it rated G and unpolitical
- be fun(ny): most of all, let’s have fun with this
